Welcome and Appreciation: Aerec, Annona, and Kipling hosted our Mog House Meeting, with Critical and other devs off camera.
Announcements:
(1) Recruitment: We are recruiting team members/volunteers. Please check out #join-the-team and #contribute on our Discord to learn more about how you can help.
(2) Community Development Series Our admin and developer teams are hosting a series of sessions and office hours on how to become a FFXI developer. Check out the ASB Discord for more information. We also link to these events on the HorizonXI Discord under #contribute.
(3) Horizon Herald Yes, it’s finally coming! Keep an eye out on the wiki.
(4) Partnered Content Creators We are piloting a new partner program with the guys from Level Sync! Our first partnered event is scheduled for July 31st. Stay tuned for more opportunities to contribute to the community through Twitch, Youtube, and other platforms.
(5) In-game events are coming! We will be posting a PvP tournament series, anniversary event, and holiday festivals soon.
(6) Questions You all asked a ton of questions during the live stream. Prizes will be handed out soon, and we will begin answering new questions in a FAQ series in the near future.
Quality of Life Adjustments:
(1) Linkshell Bank Characters Linkshell leaders or officers can now have an additional character for linkshell use only. Visit #horizonxi-support on our Discord to start the process. Please be sure to read the rules prior to applying.
What's coming in patch 1.2?
(1) PAFO: We will be moving forward with more transparency in regard to “play and find out”. We hope that the information shared regarding 1.2 and ToAU is welcomed warmly and helps prepare players for this content.
(2) Timeline: We tentatively plan to drop Patch 1.2 in September. Fingers crossed that we experience no unanticipated delays. There is some exciting stuff in this patch!
(3) HARP NPC: Art rewards and Horizon Herald contribution prizes should be available at the HARP NPC once Patch 1.2 drops.
(4) Level capped zones and exp penalties: We are reworking the way level capped zones and exp penalties are applied to adventurers under various conditions.
(5) New NMs: New NMs will be released with this patch.
(6) Line of Sight: New line of sight mechanics will be released with this patch.
(7) Dynamis Tavnazia: Dyna Tav will be released with this patch.
(8) New exp/meripo camps: New experience and merit point camps will be introduced in 1.2.
(9) New Quests: New quests will be dropped with this patch.
(10) Adventuring Fellows: Adventuring fellows (part 1) will be released with this patch.
(11) Sea content adjustments: There will be some tweaks made to sea content, including the release of Absolute Virtue. The AV fight has been completely reworked and will be a challenging battle for even the most experienced linkshells.
(12) Job balancing: BST, SMN, THF, and SAM will be adjusted during this patch.
(13) Zilart King Rework: The Zilart kings have retreated to their original, era spawn locations (only) with a twist some of the “nq” versions are a bit tougher than before. Please note that the era+ spawn conditions outside of location will continue to persist.
(14) HENM System: The HENM system will be introduced during this patch. This is a gauntlet style HNM event that can be considered “Kings adjacent” in terms of gear and content difficulty. We highly suggest you check out the stream for this information!
